Charles V by Bart Picqueur is a piece evoking the life of  16th century emperor Charles V.
It was originally written for large percussion ensemble, featuring solo flutes and flemish bagpipes. It was premiered by percussion ensemble Brussegem who became world champion at the 2013 WMC in the highest division for concert percussion.
