Blue Roses is a short piece for any woodwind and piano in boogie woogie style. It invites the young musician to a first and safe attempt to improvisation, using the blues scale. It was written for the first solo performance of Roos, who had a passion for blues. Thus the title of the piece came easily. Bart Picqueur
